I am so excited to share with you our newest additions to our family.
These littles are so adorable and makes the cutest noises ever. This is our 10th year having lambs and each year is just as special as the previous.
This is how we name our lambs. In 2016 we started with the letter D and made our way up the alphabet with the corresponding letter. So, 2021 has brought us to the letter I.
Our first ram lamb born on the farm this year is name Israel. My son Oren gave him a big strong name.
The other 2 are little girls and we need to come up with I names. If you have any ideas, leave a comment below.

]]>We thought for sure she was only due with 1 lamb, but surprised us towards the end of her pregnancy by getting remarkably bigger at the end.
As a first time mom, it's always hard to say how they will behave towards their baby or in this case 2 babies. She took to mothering like an experienced gal and completely took over the job. We didn't have to intervene except to make sure she was producing milk, weighting lambs, and iodining their navals.
I know this picture is a bit blurry, but I couldn't resist. The little one is looking for his mama's teat and is completely going in the wrong direction.
They are so adorable with the most expressive eyes.

This past year I decided to only breed 3 ewes. Normally I would breed our whole lot which is around 11, but I sense I needed to cut back.
My plan was in place and 2 ewes lambed their cute babies. One was still in queue. Everything was going pretty smooth until I sheared 2 of my older gals. They seemed a little more plump than normal. I figured that I was over feeding them a bit, so I rationed there meals a bit. A couple weeks later they were bagging up.
Whaaat?
Yup! What I wasn't told is that the ram got out for a little splurge and was in with my girls and there is the result.
None the less. We are so tickled for all the little lambs. Also, all the mamas are doing well.
This is our year of H's. We have a Herb, Hoover, Hulslander, Hood, and Hensley so far.
We are still waiting on our last mama. She will be a first timer.
